Needed a change of scenery after spending the last four days of my life fixing six computers. Not the way I wanted to start off my vacation, but it was necessary. Good news is as of this writing, I can start to enjoy my vacation somewhat. By saying somewhat, I mean, I’m not going to be sitting at my desk for almost 13 hours a day taking apart PCs, installing operating systems and testing programs. I’ll be spending time writing and getting Stepping Stones Magazine back up and running.
Don’t worry, I know what they say about all work and no play, so I’m going to take some time to do recreational things. I just need to get everything set up now, so I can focus on moving forward. And what entails moving forward? Working on (and completing) Racing the Rain for starters. I liked where the project was going and only shelved it temporarily to work on a Camp NaNoWriMo project. Since Camp NaNo was so last month, it’s time to focus on Racing. The goal is to finish the draft before NaNoWriMo starts on November 1st. That gives me three months to get my head in the story and come up with… something.
Speaking of Camp NaNo, if you’ve been following the blog, you already know I didn’t win. You can read about here if you want. I had enough on my plate and with the current projects I have along with the Stepping Stones Magazine site being hacked, July just wasn’t my month. However, we’re in a new month with new opportunities, so it’s all about moving forward from here.
